Brown Sugar Naturals handmade soaps are good old fashioned lye soaps. Our soaps are made through the process of saponification. This is the process that takes place when natural oils and lye are cooked properly to create a wonderful bar of soap. Don't worry the lye is completely "saponified" at the end of the process leaving a natural bar of soap.
Our soaps have a high content of glycerin that is removed in most commercial soaps. Glycerin is a great skin moisturizer and helps attract water to the skin. We like to leave our soaps in their natural state, so we do not cut them in perfect sizes or create fancy designs. What you see is what you get, no two bars of soap will look the same because of this.

Oatmeal Soap
Our
oatmeal soap is packed with skin loving ingredients. We add colloidal
oatmeal for a truly skin nourishing experience. Great for dry irritated
skin including eczema, psoriasis, sunburn, sores, chicken pox, poison
ivy, oak or sumac, shingles, prickly heat, and other skin rashes. This soap comes in scented and unscented.
Black Soap
This
is our version of African Black Soap. This shea and cocoa butter
based soap is infused with black seed oil, plantain leaves, Pau D'Arco
bark.
Black Seed Oil - Black Seed was used by ancient Egyptians as an cure all for skin problems and disease. Black seed was also found in the tomb of King Tutankhamen (King Tut). It is great for eczema, acne, and various skin conditions.
